The organizing committee for Minor Oaks Hockey’s 11^th annual house league tournament is offering you the opportunity to become a sponsor for the 11th Annual Frank Sabatino Memorial Tournament to be held to be held at Oakville's Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, Joshua’s Creek Arena and, River Oaks Recreation Centre from January 20 to 22, 2012, with 48 Peewee and Atom (ages 10-12) teams entered. Plans are well underway to make this tournament the highlight of the players' hockey season.

The success of past tournaments is due in large part to the funds donated to the event by sponsors.  There are many facets to our sponsorship program.  In the past, our sponsors have provided donations that are used to purchase items that make our event memorable such as medallions and trophies, items for player “grab bags”, player drinks, and game programs. Corporate sponsorship is recognized in various ways, including the display of corporate names or logos within the arena facility and on game programs.  Tax receipts will be provided.

Again, this year fundraising initiatives using donated prizes and sales of souvenir items will be held during the tournament.  All proceeds collected from our fundraising, together with any specific corporate donations will be given to Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Foundation to benefit palliative care.

About the Tournament

This Tournament is dedicated to the memory of Frank Sabatino, an Oakville Atom Red Convenor, MOHA Director, father, friend and neighbour. Frank’s dedication to minor hockey in Oakville will always be remembered.

This Oakville Tournament was first held in March 2002 as an inter-league series of MOHA round–robin exhibition games for the Atom Red Division.  It is now a yearly OMHA sanctioned event, which in 2012 will be hosted at Oakville's Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, Joshua’s Creek Arena and, River Oaks Recreation Centre from January 20 to 22, 2011, with 48 Peewee and Atom teams entered with out-of-town teams from various regions of Ontario.  Out-of-town teams are selected based on their ability to provide competition comparable to the MOHA Red House League level.

The Tournament is run by a core Committee composed of Minor Oaks Hockey volunteers and all of the funding for the tournament comes from entry fees and, with your assistance, corporate sponsorship and donations.

Sponsorship gives your company a unique opportunity to be promoted to 900+ players, in addition to the many parents and spectators, in a casual fun manner and your company becomes associated with one of the premier tournaments in the province. Our promotional campaign which includes the distribution of programs, web links and advertising and in rink recognition ensures your name will be highly visible throughout the tournament.
